HTC One X JellyBean Update Boosts Smartphone's Performance Significantly
The Android 4.1, JellyBean update for the HTC One X began rolling out recently and it brings with it huge performance boosts.
The device's web browser is now a lot faster than it was as the new software allows the device to fully utilize its quad-core processor.
Various Benchmark results have been posted on to the internet today showing the HTC One X ranking higher than it previously did thanks to the update.
The JellyBean update began rolling out in Taiwan last week.
HTC's headquarters is located in Taiwan and this is the reasoning behind it being one of the first countries to receive the upgrade.
The JellyBean update will roll out in most of North Asia this week, according to Jack Ton, the general manager of HTC North Asia.
The HTC One S JellyBean updates will be available at a later date.
The One S special white edition appeared on the company's Taiwanese website earlier this month.
This variant comes with a white body similar to the one found on the HTC One X and features 64GB of built-in memory.
The rest of the specifications are all the same as the original HTC One S.
In other HTC news, it has been confirmed that the One X+ will be released through AT&T in the United States.
The carrier announced the device earlier this month and also confirmed that it will launch two other HTC smartphones: the HTC One VX and HTC Windows Phone 8X.
The HTC One X+ comes equipped with a 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 2,100mAh battery with six hours more talk time, 64GB of storage, and Android 4.1, JellyBean with HTC's custom Sense 4+.
