Huawei Ascend P2 Image Leaks
New pictures were leaked of a smartphone made by Huawei called the Ascend P2.
The device is expected to be unveiled next month at this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Specifications on the P2 include a 4.5-inch screen, 2GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, and a 1300 mAh. The smartphone will run Android 4.1, JellyBean, but what build it will be is still unclear.
No information about pricing or the release date for the smartphone is available at this time.
Huawei recently unveiled a similar smartphone called the Ascend D2.
The new handset comes with a 5-inch 1920x1080 Full HD Touchscreen along with a slew of other high-end components such as a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 13-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, 2GB RAM, and a 3,000 mAh battery.
It will run Android 4.1, JellyBean and will use a quad-core processor known as the Hass K3V2 which is actually made by Huawei.
The device measures in at 9.9mm and weighs 170 grams. This makes the handset larger than the 7.5mm ZTE Nubia Z5. The difference in weight and size could be attributed to the new battery.
The company hopes to release the Ascend D2 in the first few weeks of January. This will allow Huawei to have a strong competitor for the Oppo Find 5 and the Nubia Z5. The internal storage still has not been revealed for the handset and it is not clear if it will have LTE connectivity. That news should be revealed in the coming weeks.
The Oppo Find 5 release date and specs were recently confirmed by the company as the device will launch during first quarter of 2013.
For one, the Oppo Find 5 will come with a full HD 5-inch 1080p screen with a 441 ppi pixel density. Judging from the numbers on the specifications, this handset will have the finest display on the market displaying colors in movies with the highest amount of clarity.
