iPhone 5 Release Excitement as Case Photo Revealed
Tech website 9to5 Mac has claimed to have acquired an actual silicone case for the hugely anticipated iPhone 5 received from a manufacturer. The claim has been seemingly verified by a picture of the iPhone 5 case on their website.
The site goes on to say that the case in their possession matches the recently leaked schematic images that were released this week all over the internet.
The iPhone 5 case cannot be just another mock-up according to the site, which says the source they received it from is similar to one of their previous source’s who gave them design schematics for the iPad 2; those designs were spot on.
They also independently confirmed that Asian case manufacturers are now shopping case designs to sellers all over the world for their own branding.
The site says, according to their source, case manufacturers are spending millions of dollars on quality intelligence to maximize the launch of the iPhone 5. The site says this proves that the case they received displays the design for the next generation iPhone, or at least a design that touched Apple’s Asia-based manufacturing plants.
The Wall Street Journal has reported twice that the new iPhone will have a thinner look.
Japanese website Macotakara reported back in March that the fifth generation iPhone will feature a curved aluminum back.
Those reports, along with the case picture on the site and the leaked case design schematics seem to agree on how the new device will look.
However, reports from Bloomberg and Reuters say the device will have a similar design as the iPhone 4.
The 9to5Mac website disputes those claims by saying that Apple is testing the next generation iPhone guts with the iPhone 4’s casing to keep the new device’s appearance under wraps.
