iPhone 5: More Cases Surface Confirming Thin Tapered Design (PHOTOS)
New images of cases supposedly for the iPhone 5 have surfaced which once again agree with the rumors of the device having a thin tapered design, according to Digital Trends.
The website has received images of cases which are made by Chinese Manufacturer, Mettei Technology a company based in Shenzhen, which also is the location of a Foxxconn factory which produces Apple products such as the iPad 2.
The cases they came across are almost identical to the ones leaked on 9to5 Mac last month. According to Digital Trends both their case and 9to5’s include slots for the headphone jack, rear facing camera and the ringer on/off switch leading them to believe they both acquired cases with the same exact design.

Digital Trends actually had cases revealed to them in an advertisement aimed at selling them. However, most case designs and images seen previously have been leaks, including the one 9to5 posted up recently.
The cases advertised are silicon and come in ten different colors according to Digital Trends, which also stated that Mettei Technology would ship them four days after receiving payment.
The iPhone 5 has been rumored to have a thin design for months now. The rumors started with the first report coming from This Is My Next, who also reported that the phone would have an edge-to-edge screen and a gesture based home button.
However, Digital Trends feels there is still a good chance the cases are fakes. The website points to the fact that the cardboard iPhone placeholder in the cases indicates it is for a 5G iPhone, which is a network that does not exist yet.
With all these rumors, images and cases in agreement displaying a thin design for the iPhone 5, it would be hard to believe that when the device is released it will not match the information received from the leaks.
