iPhone 5 Release Date: Cases Go on Sale for iPhone 5 and 4S, Reveal Dimensions
Hard Candy, a case maker company, is already selling cases for the two new iPhones which are expected to be unveiled within the hour at Apple’s California HQ.
Reports from Cult of Mac say Hard Candy received dimension data “from three sources” that show iOS based devices with a 4.44-inch screen and wide home button.
According to the case maker, the iOS device will be about 4.84 inches tall and 2.63 inches wide and 0.28 inch thick.
However, there is no hard proof that these dimensions received by Hard candy are the next iPhone.
Tim Hickman, CEO of Hard Candy, told Cult of Mac that he does not know if these dimensions are for the iPhone or the iPod Touch.
Whatever the case may be, Hickman has produced 50,000 cases in advance and offering it on his site as iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 cases.
It is a risky bet but he told Cult of Mac that he is “confident” that it is an iOS device.
The Bubble Shell iPhone 5 case is available for pre-order for $35.95, as is the Bubble Shell case for the iPhone 4S.
