iPhone 5 Release Date: Droid Razor Vs iPhone 5/4S
The Droid Razr is not only an impressive new Android handset, but it out classes Apple’s new iPhone 4S in many ways in terms of hardware.
The Droid Razr features a larger display than the iPhone 4S with its 4.3-inch screen. The iPhone 4S only sports a 3.5-inch display which does not differ much from its predecessor, the iPhone 4.
However, Apple seems to be holding off on this upgrade to a larger screen, and will release a device with a more impressive display in 2012 with the upcoming tear-drop shaped iPhone 5.

The Droid Razr is thinner and lighter than the thick bodied iPhone 4S. Motorola touts it as the thinnest smartphone in the world.
Apple chose not to alter the body of the iPhone with the 4S. The company’s iPhone 5 is rumored to feature a much thinner-tapered design which will allow the device to not only have a larger display, but will make it lighter.
Battery life on the Droid Razr outlasts the iPhone 4S with 12.5 hours of talk time where Apple’s device only does around 8.
Apple will most likely change this with the iPhone 5, although no information on the new smartphone’s battery has been leaked.
The iPhone 4S also is trumped by the Droid Razr in terms of processors. Motorola’s handset includes a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM while the 4S has an 800MHz dual-core and 512MB of RAM.
The iPhone 5 is rumored to have an A6 chip which will include a quad-core processor.
This chip was reported by Samsung who is manufacturing it for the next generation iPhone.
Both the iPhone 4S and Droid Razr have an 8 megapixel camera capable of filming in 1080p HD.
However, Droid Razr’s 1.3MP front facing camera is better than the VGA on the iPhone 4S, according to gizmocrunch.com.
Droid Razr also includes an HDMI port and microSD card slot and comes with a 16GB SD.
Lastly, the Droid Razr is available on 4G LTE while the iPhone 4S is only on 3G.
The iPhone 5 is expected to upgrade to 4G networks when it launches in 2012.
