iPhone 5 to Make Market Debut on October 5?

Many have speculated that Apple’s iPhone 5 will hit the shelves in October. A recent report by Bloomberg claims that the much awaited iPhone 5 will be available from mid October by U.S. wireless carrier Sprint.

The report by Bloomberg does not confirm the release date of Apple’s new smartphone although earlier reports from various sources in the past had pointed to a September release. But failure by Apple to confirm the release date shifted attention to the alleged October release.

With the month of October approaching many will be expecting an official confirmation from Sprint on whether the device will be launched by the carrier.

A recent report appearing on British mobile carrier Vodafone’s website also indicated the device would soon be coming to the phone market. Although the company refused to either deny or confirm these reports, many are viewing this as an indicator of things to come.

A representative of Vodafone was quoted to have said that the carrier would not comment on any rumors or speculation.

Bloomberg’s report also does not reveal the source of their information, claiming the news came from "people, who wouldn't be identified because the plans aren't public."
