iPhone 6, iPhone 5S Low-Cost Model Rear Shell Proves to be Scratch Resistant VIDEO

A new video surfaced online today showing off what could be the low-cost iPhone 5s or iPhone 6 model's scratch resistance abilities.

The video, released by Taiwan's Apple Daily measures the rear shell giving precise figures. It also puts it through several scratch resistance tests placing it in a bag with keys and coins and jiggles it around to find that the component was left without any marks.

The low-cost iPhone will be slightly larger than the iPhone 5. To watch the video in full click here.

Buttons thought to be for the low-cost model were analyzed in another high quality video released last week.

Theclip was created by Australian writer Sonny Dickson who takes a closer look at the yellow rear shell that comes from Apple's alleged low-cost plastic iPhone expected to launch later at the beginning of next month.

The video provides Apple fans with one of the first in depth looks at this part that has surfaced in various other pictures and leaks. He also compares it to some of the iPhone models of the past.

Dickson has released other rear shell parts for the low-cost iPhone recently including ones that were green and white.

Some of these parts included buttons that could be used for the new device.

Dickson claims they are volume buttons and he shows them in different colors that include green, yellow, red, and blue.

They are pill-shaped, making them different from the round ones found on the iPhone 5. They match up perfectly to design drawings that were leaked back in June.

Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone and low-end model on Sept. 10 at a special media event. The device's are expected to be available by Sept. 20.
