Jayden Thomas, Braxton Wood Still Missing: Parents Frantic With Worry

The parents of two lovelorn teenagers are frantic with worry and are asking for the public's help in locating the young teens. Jayden Thomas, 13, and Braxton Wood, 14, were last seen on Monday, Aug. 26 in Clare, Michigan before taking Wood's mother's vehicle and running away from home.

The teens, who have been dating for six months, were distraught at the news that they would be attending different high schools this fall. They allegedly stole the 2005 black Ford Explorer belonging to Wood's mother and took off.

"It's like they fell off the face of the earth," Thomas' mother, Kelly Drinkwine, told "Good Morning America." "No one can find them. She wrote a message for me in lipstick on the mirror saying, 'I love you so much. Stay happy and beautiful.' They are just two babies trying to take on the world. There are mean, horrible people out there. Just come home, baby. Just come home."

Drinkwine was also worried that her daughter was too serious about her relationship with Wood. The news that they were attending different high schools came as some relief to the parents but devastated the teens. Thomas told her mother that she couldn't live without Wood.

"That's when I felt I had to bring my daughter back to reality. The day she left I told her I no longer supported their relationship," Drinkwine said.

"They can't live on their own," Wood's mother, Sarah Kiley told WZZM 13. "They are 13 and 14 years old. They didn't want to do anything but be with each other. It was pretty intense for a 14-year-old."

Thomas is five feet, three inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She has blonde hair and hazel/blue eyes. Wood is five feet tall, weighs 125 pounds and also has blonde hair and blue eyes. The public is asked to be on the lookout for the Ford Explorer.

A team of investigators is currently searching for the teens.

"Trying to find these two has been a little more difficult than any of us would have thought. It's our impression they have not made contact with anyone. We know they have been throughout central Michigan. The last area we know for sure is the Mt. Pleasant area, but it's been a few days since we've had a good solid lead of where we knew they were," investigator Mike Cook told the Daily Mail.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Isabella County Sheriff's Office at (989) 772-5911.
