Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux at Movie Premiere: Character Kidnapped, Assaulted in 'Life of Crime'

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux were in Toronto for the movie premiere of "Life of Crime," Aniston's latest flick. Although actor and writer Theroux wasn't on the red carpet with his famous fiancée, he did support her throughout the day, attending a pre-premiere cocktail party.

Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux may not have been together for the entire Toronto International Film Festival, but their outfits certainly managed to complement each other. The 44-year-old Hollywood actress wore a strapless grey Vivienne Westwood dress and nude heels, while her husband-to-be donned a darker grey fitted suit and battered boots.

Theroux, 40, appeared by Aniston's side for much of the night during the pre-screening cocktail party, which was presented by Pandora Jewelry at the Hudson Kitchen restaurant in Toronto. He sipped on a whiskey on the rocks while she had a Smart Water, according to Us Weekly.

Aniston's role in "Life of Crime" is a departure from some of her past comedy and romantic comedy movies- in "Horrible Bosses" she played a controlling dentist who sexually harasses her assistant, and in "We're the Millers" she plays a stripper pretending to be a housewife. Instead, her role is the wife of a wealthy Detroit developer who is kidnapped for ransom. During the film she is nearly raped and has her bra ripped off.

"Being the level of actor that she is you would imagine that she would be closed off, but she was actually very giving and brave in the scene," a production source told Us Weekly. "She wanted to get it right."

Aniston's willingness to "get it right" extends past her passion for acting- she also revealed previously that she and fiancé Theroux are in no rush to get married.

"We just want to do it when it's perfect, and we're not rushed, and no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job," she told the Associated Press in July. "There have been no cancelled weddings. There have been no postponed weddings … Just clearing all that up."

"Life of Crime" also stars Isla Fisher, Will Forte and Mos Def.
