Jennifer Lawrence Cannes Fashions Make Waves
Jennifer Lawrence promoted the highly anticipated "Hunger Games" sequel "Catching Fire" at the Cannes Film Festival with four different outfits over the weekend.
The 22-year-old starlet debuted several different looks within just one day at the annual French film festival.
First, Lawrence paired long black trousers with a ruffled strapless top and pink heels during a "Catching Fire" photo call.
There, the actress posed alongside her "Hunger Games" co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Sam Clafin and director Francis Lawrence.
Next, the Oscar Awards-winning actress wore a monochrome Christian Dior gown on the red carpet before changing into an all-white strapless gown for a party at the Baoli Club in honor of "Catching Fire."
Lionsgate's extravagant beach-side party saw chocolate fondue and models wearing the film's distinctive costumes, according to Yahoo! News.
Once inside the party though, Lawrence changed once again into a sleeveless gray dress featuring sheer paneling at the bottom.
On Twitter, Lawrence's fans noticed the numerous outfit changes and gushed over the different looks.
Lawrence and the "Hunger Games" cast were not the only ones promoting the new film. Billboards featuring digital flames at the Majestic Barriere hotel also worked to promote "Catching Fire" during the film festival. However, an additional stunt was canceled due to inclement weather.
Lawrence recently cut her hair into a shoulder-length bob and dyed it from jet-black to dark blonde.
The actress' role as Katniss Everdeen in 2011's "Hunger Games" catapulted her into stardom.
Nevertheless, Lawrence admitted to facing criticism in Hollywood over her curvier figure.
"I'm never going to starve myself for a part," divulged the star speaking to Elle magazine last year. "I don't want little girls to be like, 'Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I'm going to skip dinner. That's something I was really conscious of during training, when you're trying to get your body to look exactly right."
The starlet noted that her goal was "to look fit and strong- not thin and underfed" in the film.
As for the upcoming "Hunger Games" sequel, Lawrence did not reveal her character's romantic involvement with Peeta, portrayed by Hutcherson.
However, the actress referred to friendship between her co-stars Clafin and Hutcherson as "a full-blown bromance," reported MTV News.
