Jennifer Lawrence Talks Weight, Honey Boo-Boo, and 'Catching Fire'
Catapulted into stardom with her role in "Hunger Games," Jennifer Lawrence has opened up about being the "obese" actress in Hollywood.
After landing the role as Katniss Everdeen in the hit film, Lawrence was already faced with criticism for her curvy figure and realized that for Hollywood's standards, she is considered heavy.
"I'm never going to starve myself for a part," divulged the star speaking to Elle magazine. "I don't want little girls to be like, 'Oh, I want to look like Katniss, so I'm going to skip dinner. That's something I was really conscious of during training, when you're trying to get your body to look exactly right."

The 22-year-old noted that her goal was "to look fit and strong- not thin and underfed," in the film.
Moreover, the Louisville native recently admitted that her car accident earlier this month was over Honey Boo Boo.
"I was driving home from work and I thought I saw Honey Boo Boo," explained the "Winter's Bone" star while speaking to Jay Leno earlier this month. "It was a breast cancer parade."
"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" is a reality television series on TLC chronicling the life of six-year-old beauty pageant participant Alana Thompson and her family.
Lawrence went on to recount the incident where she had mistaken parade marchers' shirts for reading "Boo Boo" and thinking one little girl was the reality television star herself.
"I was still driving and then I rear-ended the person in front of me," said Lawrence while on "The Tonight Show" with Leno.
Meanwhile, Lawrence discussed the sequel to "Hunger Games, saying that "Catching Fire" involved "a full-blown bromance," referring to friendship between her co-stars Sam Clafin and Josh Hutcherson, reported MTV News.
Lawrence will appear in "Silver Linings Playbook" which hits theaters on Nov. 21 alongside Bradley Cooper. "Catching Fire" is due in theaters next year.
