Jennifer Love Hewitt, 'Twitter No Longer for Me'
Jennifer Love Hewitt is no longer on Twitter. The 34-year-old actress wants to focus on the positive aspects in her life, like her upcoming wedding or pregnancy.
"Unfortunately with all the negativity people choose to send on twitter as well as threats to their own being I'm sad to say Twitter is no longer for me," Hewitt tweeted. "I have enjoyed all the kindness and love that came my way, as well as support. But this break is needed."
It's unclear whether Hewitt will return to Twitter once life settles down, but she is certainly not the first celebrity to "quit Twitter" for personal reasons. Alec Baldwin has been on and off Twitter, based upon his personal activity. Whenever trouble arises, Baldwin tends to shut down and deal with the situation before coming back online.
Hewitt has been in the news a lot lately, with "The Client List" starting in June, the announcement of her engagement and pregnancy. She has been together with Brian Hallisay for a year and a half and got engaged while vacationing in Europe. The two work together on "The Client List," a popular series on Lifetime TV.
"We're so thrilled and happy to start a family," the two told Us Weekly in a statement.
"I think that I could be a really good wife," she told Us Weekly in 2010. "I know that I love being able to give my love out to someone. I know there is somebody great out there for me."
"I'm at a place where I could get married, I could not get married" Hewitt told USA Today in 2012. "Kids are not something I'll give up on, that's something I really want in my life but I just sort of started shifting my mindset a little bit."
Now Hewitt is focusing on her career and growing family.
"Life should be filled with positivity and holding each other up, not making threats and sending bad vibes. To those of you who made it a joy, thank you from the bottom of my heart," Hewitt tweeted before signing off for good.
