Jodie Sweetin Slams 'Rude' Rehab Rumors
Jodie Sweetin continues to battle rumors that she entered rehab for drug addiction this week with a video posted to Twitter via WhoSay on Friday.
The actress, best known for her role on "Full House," allegedly checked into rehab for substance abuse while also dropping her bid to obtain full custody of her youngest daughter Beatrix.
After denying the rumors during a phone call with TMZ on Wednesday, Sweetin has now posted an indirect response to the "rude" rumors.
"So you know what I think is really rude? Reading articles about yourself that are totally not true," started the former child actress in a self-shot video clip on WhoSay.
"How rude," she added, referring to her "Full House" character's famous catchphrase.
Furthermore, Sweetin urged her followers to post their own "rude" videos and photos using the hashtag #HowRude.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, the actress called TMZ and explained that she was not being treated in rehab, but that she does work for a treatment center.
Consequently, Sweetin's employer at the center offered her a place to stay following her recent breakup.
Married just under two years, Sweetin and Morty Coyle, her third husband, announced their divorce earlier this year.
"I work for the center and they have been really generous in helping me with a place to stay as Morty wanted me out by the end of the month," said Sweetin speaking to TMZ. "The owners of the facility said I could stay here as I got things figured out."
The actress also made allegations against her ex, implying that he had started the rehab rumor in order to get custody of their daughter.
While she formerly revealed a problem with drugs and alcohol in her book "UnSweetined," Sweetin said that her ex is plotting against her in "weird and stalkerish" ways.
"Breakups are hard and certain people [her ex] don't make them easier," Sweetin told TMZ Live. "People get weird and stalkerish … You never really know someone until you break up with them."
Sweetin and Coyle welcomed daughter Beatrix in 2011, and Sweetin was seeking sole custody of the child. The actress already has one daughter, Zoie, with ex-husband Cody Herpin. The 31-year-old was also married to Shaun Hoguin, but they never had any children.
The actress was cast on "Full House" as Tanner in 1987. The beloved television series also starred John Stamos, the Olsen twins, and Bob Saget, and ran until 1995.
