The 24-year-old singer and rapper confirmed his appearance alongside Mayer on Twitter Tuesday.

"SNL this weekend. Me and the bro John Mayer," posted Ocean.

Mayer can be found on Ocean's album on a track titled "White."

Before the widespread success of "Channel Orange," Ocean often served as ghostwriter for artists including Justin Bieber, Brandy, and John Legend. He also appeared on Jay-Z and Kanye West's album "Watch the Throne."

Ocean was nominated for three MTV VMA's this year, and his new album has created a lot of buzz at the BET Hip Hop Awards as well as the Soul Train Awards.

Meanwhile, Saturday's episode of "SNL" will also reflect the success of MacFarlane's summer hit film "Ted." Bill Hader and Fred Armisen will possibly join the creator of the television series "The Family Guy" during the "SNL" season premiere.

Next up to host "SNL" will be Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who will return to the show for his second time as host on Sept. 22. Mumford & Sons will serve as musical guests.

"James Bond" star Daniel Craig will host Oct. 6 to promote his new film, which is scheduled for release Nov. 9. Muse will serve as musical guests for the episode.
