John Travolta Lawsuit: First Accuser Hires Gloria Allred After Dropping Claim
John Travolta's first accuser, known as "John Doe #1," hired famed Hollywood attorney Gloria Allred shortly after his former attorney, Okorie Okorocha, filed to dismiss his sexual assault lawsuit against the actor on Tuesday.
"I represent John Doe #1. Mr. Doe's lawsuit was dismissed without prejudice which means that he is still legally entitled to file another lawsuit against John Travolta if he chooses. We are in the process of conferring with him regarding the next steps, which he may wish to take. Our client and our firm has no further comment at this time," Allred told Radar Online.
John Doe #1 alleges that Travolta, 58, made sexual advances toward him during a massage session on the morning of Jan. 16 at approximately 10 a.m. in Beverly Hills, Calif.
When Marty Singer, Travolta's attorney, vehemently denied the allegations, maintaining that he had "proof" that that actor was in a different state at the date and time of alleged incident, John Doe #1 began backtracking and claimed that he had mixed up the dates.
Photographic evidence emerged courtesy of TMZ.com allegedly showing Travolta in New York at the time of incident which promoted Okorocha to cut ties with the first accuser.
"Okorocha did not feel he could represent John Doe #1 going forward anymore and recommended him finding another lawyer. He is still representing John Doe #2 other alleged victims who are possibly coming forward," a source told Radar.
John Doe #1, a masseur, claimed that the married father stripped naked and appeared semi-erect before offering him a "reverse massage" during the session.
"Come on dude, I'll j--- you off!" Travolta allegedly told John Doe #1 after his sexual advances were rejected.
It is unclear whether Travolta's first accuser will file a new lawsuit against the "Hairspray" actor however a second masseur "John Doe #2" has reportedly opted for a private mediation after filing a complaint against Travolta that is similar to John Doe #1's initial claim.
"Travolta started to grab, rub and caress [accuser no. 2's] upper thighs and buttock ... and he refused to [be covered] by a sheet of a pillow case cover ... Travolta started masturbating about 15 minutes left in the session, and [accuser No.2] said he had to go," John Doe #2's complaint states.
The second man claims that he was assaulted in a separate incident to that of John Doe #1 on the morning of Jan. 28 after being hired to perform a massage on the actor.
A third man, Chilean-born Fabian Zanzi, recently made sexual assault allegations against Travolta and may also file a lawsuit.
