Jon Gosselin Happy Kate Plus 8 Is Ending

Jon Gosselin, who last appeared on the reality show “Jon& Kate Plus 8” in 2009 alongside ex-wife Kate Gosselin said he was relieved to hear that her show “Kate Plus 8” was recently canceled.

Jon said his main concern was his children, who have been filming the reality series since 2007.

“I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future,” Jon told RadarOnline. “I hope they can have more private family moments.”

Jon started filming the reality television series with Kate in 2007, giving viewers the perspective of a couple raising eight young children. The two were parents to two fraternal twins and sextuplets.

In 2009, allegations of Jon cheating on his wife surfaced. Soon after, he left the show and separated from Kate while she starred in her own spinoff series.

The announcement of the cancellation saw fans quickly turn to Twitter to express their reactions, most wishing Kate well. One supporter asked the reality television mother if she was scared about life after the show.

““YES!!!! One mom and 8 kids = scary!!!! But I’ll make it happen,” Kate wrote on her Twitter page. “Lots of prayer and hard work as always.”

Jon did not seem surprised about the ending of the show. According to the former co-star, it was time for the show to come to an end.

"Contracts have to end at some point," he said of the show. "I think everything had run its course and it was time to come to an end anyways."

Although he seemed to be content with the show ending, Jon wished his ex-wife the best in all of her future endeavors.

“I hope she dedicates more time to the kids now and I wish her the best as she goes forward with whatever career she wants to pursue," Jon said.
