Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez: Singer Rents Entire Staples Center for Date

Justin Bieber reportedly started his weekend with a surprise to his girlfriend Selena Gomez on Friday night.

Bieber, 17, rented out the entire Staple Center sports arena in LA to plan a date and play the Titanic movie for Gomez. Before the movie, the pair attended a Demi Lovato concert at the nearby Nokia Theater, according to TMZ reports.

The prequel to their special movie night was an act of support for Lovato, Gomez’ fellow Disney Star. Lovato has admitted to having issues with eating disorders and self mutilation in the past.

In an interview with MTV, Gomez spoke about the importance of supporting her Disney peer.

"There's an amount of love that can never - no matter what - be taken away or torn apart, no matter the situation," Gomez said. "There are certain people who you will always, always love, so if anything, this just reminded me of how much I truly love her."

After watching Lovato, Bieber reportedly told actress and singer, Gomez, 19, “Come with me.” He then led her to Staples center through an underground path, TMZ reported.

According to the website’s sources, the 17-year-old Canadian crooner thought of the idea after watching Adam Sandler surprise Winona Ryder with a date at Madison Square Garden in the movie “Mr. Deeds.”

Bieber had no problem with publicly showing support for his girlfriend either, and expressed the importance of making his girlfriend feel special.

“Romance isn't dead,” the crooner tweeted. “Treat your lady right fellas. #REAL.”

In a previous interview with Seventeen magazine, Gomez spoke about falling in love with Bieber.

"I don't like hiding. I do like to keep certain things to myself, but at the end of the day, I'm 18, and I'm going to fall in love," Gomez said. "I'm going to hang out with people, and I'm going to explore myself, and I'm OK with that."
