Justin Bieber Baby Drama: 'It's Not Easy,' Says Girlfriend Selena Gomez

Selena Gomez Talks to Ellen Degeneres About Dropped Paternity Suit

Selena Gomez, girlfriend to pop singer Justin Bieber, says the past few weeks have not been easy for her and her beau, who recently underwent a dropped paternity lawsuit.

Gomez, 19, spoke to Ellen Degeneres on her talk show in an interview that will air Thursday.

In the interview, Degeneres addressed the suit, telling Gomez: "What a crazy two weeks it’s been in the news."

"To say the least," responded Gomez.

Gomez did not talk at length regarding the paternity suit, but did tell Ellen that "It's good to just kind of…be good."

The chaos began a few weeks ago, when California resident Mariah Yeater accused Bieber of fathering her child when she had a romantic tryst with the pop icon after one of his shows last October.

Bieber's legal team promised to "vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to protect Justin and hold those involved with bringing this suit accountable for their actions."

According to TMZ, last week Yeater dropped the paternity suit towards Bieber, and her lawyers have stopped representing her altogether.

"As we've said from the beginning, it's sad that someone would fabricate such a malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claim," a representative for Bieber told Access Hollywood.

Bieber vehemently denied the claims from the beginning, and even agreed to a paternity test upon returning from his European tour.

Howard Weitzman told website Gossip Cop that Yeater's inconsistent argument regarding the identity of the father proves she made up the paternity claims.

"This information proves Mariah Yeater fabricated the story," Weitzman said.
