Justin Bieber Could Be Charged With Felony for Using Eggs to Wreak $20K Damage on Neighbor's House
Pop singer Justin Bieber went on an expletive-filled egg-throwing attack on his neighbors' house, causing $20,000 in damage last Thursday. Detectives with the L.A. County Sheriff's office believe the singer is likely to be slapped with a felony charge.
Entertainment website TMZ.com highlights video in a report showing the ugly confrontation between the singer and his neighbors as he was caught hurling eggs at their property.
"In California, if the damage is greater than $400 it becomes FELONY vandalism. We're told the homeowner's damage could be in the 10s of thousands of dollars because the very expensive Venetian plaster on the outside of the house has to be redone, and very expensive doors and other items were either damaged or ruined," explained TMZ in a report on Saturday.
In a follow-up report on Monday, TMZ sources revealed that the damaged is estimated to be about $20,000.
"We're told the entire front of his (neighbor's) house must be re-plastered. To do the job – which is especially expensive because it's Venetian plaster – will cost around $15K. There's another $5,000 in damage to the entry, including various doors that must be re-stained," explains TMZ.
Since the incident, the affected neighbors have not been approached by Bieber or his management team regarding payment for the damages or an apology.
