Justin Bieber's 'Baby Mama' Claims to Have Evidence; Cops Might Investigate (PHOTO)
Mariah Yeater, 20, Claims She and Pop Star Had Tryst Backstage During 2010 Los Angeles Concert
Lawyers for the 20-year-old woman claiming to have just given birth to pop singer Justin Bieber's baby insist they have "evidence" to support their client's paternity lawsuit filed against the singer. Meanwhile, police officers in Los Angeles, where the alleged sexual encounter occurred last year, could be considering opening an investigation since Bieber, now 17, was below California's age of consent at the the time.
Although Bieber and his team have denied Mariah Yeater's claims of having had sex with the teen idol and giving birth to his child three months ago, this incident does not appear that it will go away anytime soon.
It was reported Thursday by Radar Online that Yeater's attorneys claim to have evidence.
Lance Rogers and Matthew Pare told Star magazine, Radar reported, that "Mariah Yeater is pursuing a modest and rightful claim. There is credible evidence that Justin Bieber is in fact the father of her baby. The evidence will be revealed in court."
It was Star magazine that broke the news this week of the allegations Bieber is facing.
Now that the Los Angeles Police Department has been made aware of the alleged sexual encounter between Yeater and Bieber, an investigation might be opened since the singer was only 16 at the time - assuming the tryst actually took place in Oct. 2010 during Bieber's LA concert as Yeater claims.
Cmdr. Andrew Smith told The Associated Press (AP) that, although no official report had been filed on the 2010 alleged incident, officials could still decided to investigate.
California state law calls for anyone who has unlawful sex with a minor to be charged with a misdemeanor, according to the AP. Those convicted could face a year in jail.
As for the teen crooner, his media reps have denied the charges.
"While we haven't yet seen the lawsuit, it's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims. We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations," Matthew Hiltzik, a Bieber representative, told TMZ Tuesday.
Bieber, a self-professed Christian who has been very vocal about his faith, has also commented on Yeater's claims that he is the father of her child by insinuating that such claims were lies and that he would not be distracted.
In a series of tweets posted Nov. 2, Bieber wrote:
"All the rumors...the gossip....Im gonna focus on the positives....the music."
Yeater claims that during an Oct. 2010 concert in Los Angeles, members of Bieber's security team invited her backstage, where the two teens briefly engaged in sex, resulting in "their" 3-month old son. The child's name is Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater.
