Top 5 takeaways from Kamala Harris' Fox News interview
'Turning the page'
Citing a Marquette Law School poll conducted earlier this month, Baier noted that 79% of Americans believe the country is on the "wrong track," and asked her to explain how a vote for her would indicate a change from the past three-and-a-half years under President Joe Biden.
"Let me be very clear: My presidency would not be a continuation of Joe Biden’s presidency," she said. "And like every new president that comes into office, I will bring my life experiences, my professional experiences and fresh new ideas. I represent a new generation of leadership."
Baier: More than 70% of Americans say the country is on the wrong track. If you're turning the page, you've been in office for 3.5 years

Kamala: "And Donald Trump has been running for office."

Baier later asked if the sizable portion of the country that supports Trump is "misguided" or "stupid." Harris took the Lord's name in vain to deny such an attitude.
"Oh God, I would never say that about the American people," she said. "And in fact, if you listen to Donald Trump, if you watch any of his rallies, he's the one who tends to demean and belittle and diminish the American people."
Harris said she offers a chance at "turning the page from the last decade in which we’ve been burdened with the kind of rhetoric coming from Donald Trump that has been designed and implemented to divide our country and have Americans literally point fingers at each other."
When Baier noted that Harris has been in power for nearly an entire term, Harris said Trump has been running that long, and said Baier knew what she was talking about.
"I don't actually, what are you talking about?" he said, after which Harris attempted to blame the country's issues on the past decade overall.
