Kanye West Doesn't Want to Be 'KUWTK' Cast Member?
Kanye West, 35-year-old rapper, is reportedly against being another cast member on his girlfriend Kim Kardashian's reality television show "Keeping Up With The Kardashians."
West, 35-year-old rapper, is expecting his first child with Kardashian in July. However, sources have reportedly told RadarOnline.com that he does not want to tarnish his image by appearing on the popular E! Network series regularly.
"Kanye has made it perfectly clear to Kim that he doesn't want to appear at all on Keeping Up with the Kardashians," a source reportedly told RadarOnline.com. "He has made several brief appearances on the Kardashian reality shows, but wants nothing to do with future filming."
According to the publication, the rapper's team thinks that the reality television show is not cohesive to his brand.
"Kanye's team believes it's bad for his image and brand to appear on a reality show because it makes him look cheap," the source reportedly told RadarOnline.com. "And, Kim isn't pushing the issue at all as she knows Kanye won't bend on it."
Last year, West and Kardashian were the topic of similar reports when OK! magazine reported that the rapper thought the show was not up to his standards.
"He's laid down the law when it comes to her show," the source reportedly told OK! last year. "Kim's mom, Kris [Jenner], is constantly trying to get Kanye to do appearances, and he thinks the show is beneath him."
The rapper has reportedly become frustrated with the situation because he helped turn his girlfriend's image around after she was publicly chastised for engaging in a pricey wedding on television that ended in divorce 72 days later.
"He's frustrated because he feels like he totally revived Kim's reputation when it was rock bottom," OK! Magazine reported
Kardashian may be able to talk West into a few appearances on the show, not not much more than that, according to the RadarOnline.com.
"Kim will probably be able to talk Kanye into doing several cameos, but that will be it," the source reportedly told RadarOnline.com.
In a recent interview with DuJour magazine, Kardashian revealed that West has been helping her become more of a private person.
"My boyfriend has taught me a lot about privacy," the 32-year-old told DuJour. "I'm ready to be a little less open about some things, like my relationships. I'm realizing everyone doesn't need to know everything. I'm shifting my priorities."
