Kat Von D Deadmau5 Split: Both Vent on Twitter
Newly single Kat Von D has taken to Twitter following her split from DJ Deadmau5 this week.
The 30-year-old "LA Ink" star was first romantically linked to the electro-house music producer, also known as Joel Zimmerman, over the summer. She announced their split on Saturday as well as her regrets.
"Romance should never be put on hold," started the tattoo artist via Twitter.
"Man… Can't say I didn't give it my best," Von D added. "Man, I sure was wrong. But at least he made it a no-brainer to break that off. #lessonlearned"
Moreover, the tattoo artist posted, "Now, we can get all of the 'I told you so's' outta the way… And move on."
She finally posted, "Clarification: Deadmau5 and I are no longer together."
Meanwhile, Deadmau5 also took to Twitter with his feelings and reactions.
"Going home," started the 31-year-old DJ. "Going to spend a little while screwing my head back on. I guess im not cut out for relationships right now."
He added, "It happened too fast, I lost my balance and fell into a familiar dark place that im having difficulty with. She deserves someone stronger."
"… and that's it for the personal stuff," concluded the musician. "On with out regularly scheduled deadmau5 crap."
Von D is a world-renowned tattoo artist that has countless inkings on her body.
In September, she and Deadmau5 shared an intimate photo of matching tattoos of a star beneath their eyes.
TLC's "LA Ink" ran for four seasons and solidified Von D as a national celebrity. She has become one of the most sought-after tattoo artists in the world and her tattoo parlor, High Voltage Tattoo, has fans on years-long waiting lists.
Von D's split from the famous DJ was not the first time her love life had made headlines. The tattoo artist was formerly engaged to motorcycle mogul Jesse James in 2011. Their on-and-off again engagement ended that same year after rumors of his infidelity arose.
James' infamous divorce from actress Sandra Bullock in 2010 over matters of infidelity has led the media to believe his relationship with Von D ended for the same reasons.
Although Von D did not clearly confirm the rumors surrounding her break up, the television personality is releasing a book in the upcoming months.
"No, my next book will not be about my cheating ex," Von D posted to Twitter last year, without specifying which relationship she was referring to.
"There are way too many positive and inspiring things to write about instead," she concluded.
