Kate Middleton Supports Paralympics, Recycles Gold Coat (PHOTO)

Kate Middleton has once again proven her economic consciousness after re-wearing a gold dress coat during the Paralympic's opening ceremony Wednesday.

The Duchess of Cambridge donned the Danish label DAY Birger et Mikkelsen coat dress for the third time as she watched the ceremony alongside her husband, Prince William.

First, Kate was spotted in the embroidered coat during the wedding of Laura Parker Bowles in 2006; then, the Duchess donned the outfit again during Zara Phillip's wedding to Mike Tindal last year.

It is no surprise that Kate recycled the clothing item, as she has been spotted in numerous outfits more than once. The Duchess is known to even borrow clothing from her mother, Carole Middleton.

Moreover, Kate's grandmother-in-law, Queen Elizabeth II, has reportedly commended the Duchess for her thriftiness. The Queen feels that wearing clothes more than once and displaying a budget-friendly wardrobe sets a good example.

Meanwhile, the Duke of Cambridge was dressed in a tailored navy suit as he showed his support for the 2012 Paralympic athletes.

Joining the royal couple in their booth were British Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha. Other members of the Royal Family including Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Queen Elizabeth also attended Wednesday's event.

Just under a month after the 2012 Olympics, the Paralympic opening ceremony saw Professor Stephen Hawking and actor Sir Ian McKellan narrate a scientific "journey of discovery."

The Paralympics will run through Sept. 9 and will see 4,000 athletes compete in 20 different sports.

In the coming weeks, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as well as Prince Harry are scheduled to attend goalball, cycling, and select other Paralympic events.

The U.S. has 227 athletes competing in the games, comprised of 133 men and 94 women.
