Kate Winslet Wedding Kept Secret From Parents
Kate Winslet's wedding to Ned RocknRoll was kept under the radar and only attended by "her two children and a very few friends and family," her representative confirmed. The ceremony was kept so secret that not even the couple's parents knew anything about it.
Leonardo DiCaprio did the honors of escorting Winslet down the aisle and giving her away as part of the "really romantic, private ceremony," a source told The Sun. The two have been great friends since their hit film "Titanic," and she reportedly asked him to do the honors because of that friendship.
"It wasn't a spur-of the moment thing; they had been planning it but wanted to keep it secret," a friend told The Sun. In fact, they kept it so secret that none of their parents knew anything about the wedding.

When The Sun asked Winslet's dad, Roger, about the wedding, he replied, "What are you going on about?"
RocknRoll's father had the same type of response: "It's not something I know of – but nothing would surprise me with those two."
"The couple has been engaged this summer," Winslet's representative told People. The two had been dating since 2011, when they were both on the same island in the Caribbean. When a fire broke out, Winslet was able to rescue Richard Branson's 90-year-old mother. Branson is RocknRoll's uncle.
"Ned was heartbroken and went to Necker [the island] to take his mind off things," a source told The Sun in 2011. He had recently separated from his wife. "But when Kate came out they really hit it off."
The two were inseparable after that, and he grew close to the actress and her two children Mia and Joe.
Winslet had previously been married to Jim Threapleton and Sam Mendes; Threapleton is Mia's father, while Mendes is Joe's, the BBC reported. RocknRoll, the legal name of Abel Smith, was previously married to Eliza Cowdray.
