Katherine Jackson Headed Back to Los Angeles, T.J. Takes Custody of Michael's Kids

Randy Jackson has confirmed that his mother Katherine is headed back to her Los Angeles home after an apparent health trip to Arizona which prompted some to believe that she was missing.

Appointed as the guardian of her late son Michael Jackson's three children -- Prince, Paris and Blanket, the 82 year-old was reported missing on Saturday after she hadn't been seen for days by the children.

"My mom is on her way back to Los Angeles," Randy Jackson said. "It was under doctor's orders that she go [away from L.A.]. Her health was really bad, and he wanted her to go somewhere where she couldn't be on the phone, and be cut off from the outside world for a few days."

In the meantime, Katherine's guardianship over Michael's children has been suspended due to her absence and temporary guardianship was reward to T.J. Jackson, Michael's nephew, according to The New York Post. T.J. appeared in court earlier, stating that he had spoken with Katherine over the phone while she was in Arizona, that she seemed not to be herself and was also slurring her words.

Kim Kardashian, who told Oprah last month that T.J. had been her first love interest, vouched for the man by stating that he had a good relationship with the children.

"TJ was the closest to Michael and his kids," Kardashian told TMZ, adding that he had a "father-like" relationship with Michael's kids."

"He's a very honest and trustworthy person and everyone knows he'll do the right thing," Kardashian allegedly stated.

Michael Jackson's three siblings, Randy, Jermaine and Janet Jackson, allegedly ambushed the home of Katherine Jackson, Michael Jackson's mother and his kid's legal guardian, on Monday night, according to earlier reports. The three siblings attempted to take Michael's kids away from their grandmother when a scuffle broke out and police were called to the location.

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore later reported that a disagreement had occurred between two of the family members, according to ABC News.

Katherine Jackson's laywer, Sandra L. Ribera, clarified the issue in a statement.

"Jackson family members ambushed Katherine Jackson's home after their vehicle tore through security gates on the tails of the SUV containing Michael Jackson's children," she said. "An altercation ensued shortly thereafter and law enforcement arrived at the scene."

Katherine has not been permitted contact with her grandchildren, Paris, Prince and Blanket, for days, according to reports. It was also revealed that her lawyer will file court papers this week demanding that she be allowed to visit with the kids.
