Keira Knightley Weds: Actress Marries James Righton in Discreet French Wedding (VIDEO)
Keira Knightley has wed rock star James Righton on Saturday in a discreet ceremony in a French village, according to reports.
French regional daily La Provence has reported that the British actress and the musician tied the knot in a low-key wedding service today.
The 28 year old actress, who was nominated for an Academy Award in 2005 for "Pride and Prejudice," has dated Righton for about two years, and they got engaged a year ago.
Righton is a member of British Indie band "Klaxons."
The couple are reported to have held a marriage service at a town hall in Mazan in the south of France. Knightley owns a house in the region.
The intimate ceremony was kept out of media eyes and reports have confirmed that only family and witnesses attended the service.
Some publications have highlighted that the discreet wedding is in line with Knightley and Righton's entire relationship, which they have kept very private since getting together.
Knightley began her career as a child actress on TV and made her film debut in 1995. She had a supporting role as Sabé in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace in 1999, but her first significant role came in The Hole in 2001.
She gained widespread recognition in 2002 after co-starring in the British film Bend It Like Beckham and achieved international fame in 2003 as a result of her appearances in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series alongside Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp.
