Kim Kardashian Copying Kate Middleton? Reality Star Eager to Befriend Duchess
Kim Kardashian recently opened up about her desire to befriend Kate Middleton just months after the reality TV star was accused of trying to look like the Duchess of Cambridge.
Kardashian, 31, will be accompanied by her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, when she arrives in the U.K. to promote their Kardashian Kollection clothing line on Nov. 8. While the trip is said to be strictly business, Kardashian revealed that she may attempt to squeeze in a lunch date with Middleton, 30.
"We'd love to [see Kate Middleton], are you kidding?" Kardashian told Life & Style magazine about her upcoming trip. "We all love her! I'd call her up and ask her to lunch. She's amazing."

It is unclear whether the pair has ever met, but previous reports claim that Kardashian, whose image has become more wholesome in recent months, is heavily influenced by Middleton. Kanye West, who began dating Kardashian after her infamous 72-day marriage debacle, reportedly asked the E! reality star to adopt a more natural look like Middleton's. The change sparked concern among fans that she may be copying the Duchess' image.
"Kate Middleton has influenced [Kim's] look while in London. Kate's amazing. We watched her wedding and we thought it was beautiful. Kim's style icon is Sophia Loren," Kardashian's make-up artist Rob Scheppy told the Daily Star.
"Kanye does like to get involved with Kim's look. He actually has a lot of input, he has amazing style so we take his opinions to heart and I say: 'OK, I'll try it,'" he added.
Kardashian rose to stardom in 2007 following the release of her racy homemade tape and although she is renowned for wearing tight, revealing outfits and heavy makeup, she is now often seen wearing more modest clothing and little makeup.
"I think that I'm trying to definitely tone it down a little bit with the makeup. Every shoot I do, they let me put on the lashes and the heavy makeup," Kardashian said on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show. "It's a security blanket for me."
