Kim Kardashian Divorce Trial: 'Bogus' Fertility Struggle Claim Exposed?
Kim Kardashian is accused of making up her alleged fertility struggles for her E! Reality TV show. Kris Humphries will reportedly use this to his advantage in their ongoing divorce battle.
In a January episode of "Kourtney & Kim Take Miami" Kardashian, 31, appeared to be devastated after learning that she would supposedly have trouble conceiving due to low fertility.
"When I went to the doctor a couple months ago, he took tests to check my hormones and my levels," Kardashian said on the show.
"I'm 31, and my egg levels came back as a woman that's in her 50s. I'm concerned just hearing all this information ... Maybe [pregnancy] just isn't in the cards for me," she added.
Humphries reportedly believes that the reality TV star, who is said to be 16 weeks along in her first pregnancy, invented the "fertility issue" storyline for the show.
"Kim's supposed fertility problems were no where near as dire as she made them out to be. Yes, her estrogen levels were low [but] She was in a healthy normal range though, given she had been on birth control," a source told RadarOnline.com.
"Kim's doctor assured her that once she had been off the pill for a few months she shouldn't have any issues conceiving. Kim absolutely does not have fertility issues like Khloe," the source continued.
Kardashian infamously filed for divorce from Humphries, 28, in 2011 after just 72-day of marriage.
The pair has been battling out the divorce ever since, with the NBA star insisting that alternatively they should get an annulment of their marriage based on fraud.
Humphries reportedly believes that Kardashian married him for financial gain and to boost ratings for her family's E! reality TV show. Kardashian insists that she married for love and has refused Humphries' request for an annulment.
"Kim is going to be grilled over the claims she made by Kris' attorney at her upcoming deposition, because they believe this goes to the core of their case against her — that's she's willing to lie and manipulate the truth for the sake of her career," the source said.
"This could seriously damage Kim's credibility and bolster Kris' case that he was duped into marrying her," the source added.
The pair is set to go to trial on May 6, approximately two months before Kardashian is due to give birth to her and rapper Kanye West's first child.
