Kim Kardashian 'Let Down, Disappointed' After Being Denied Meeting With President Obama
Kim Kardashian was reportedly left disappointed after allegedly being denied a meeting with President Barack Obama at a gala held in Los Angeles earlier this week.
Obama attended Steven Spielberg's USC Shoah Foundation gala Wednesday where he was presented with the "Ambassador for Humanity" award and also honored as the guest of honor. Kardashian also attended the event to show her support for survivors of the Armenian genocide and an insider claims she made attempts for a personal meet-and-greet with Obama.
"Kim's table wasn't close to President Obama's ... [she] enlisted one of her minions to scout out the opportunity to meet him," a source told RadarOnline.com.
"Obama's table and surrounding area was swarming with Secret Service, and security was very tight," the source explained. "Kim's lackey was told to go pound sand, and it was conveyed to Kim that she wouldn't be able to meet him."
The reality TV star, 33, is believed to have attended the event with Yevnige Salbian, a 100-year-old genocide survivor from Armenia. While Obama spent time mingling with a number of Hollywood's elite "for about an hour," Kardashian was reportedly denied a meeting.
"Kim was let down and disappointed. She didn't understand why she just couldn't say hello to him," the source said. "Ever since landing the Vogue cover, her ego is even more out of control. In her mind, she and Kanye are more popular than the President Obama and the First Lady!"
Last year Kardashian and her rapper fiance Kanye West were reportedly offended when Obama cited them in his criticisms of pop culture's affect on the American dream.
"Kim truly thinks she is American royalty, and she and Kanye are a global couple powerhouse ... she doesn't understand why President Obama wouldn't want to meet her," the source said.
Kardashian and West are set to wed in France on May 24.
