Kim Kardashian Opposed to Divorce Trial Being Televised
Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries will face off during their May 6 divorce trial however unlike the NBA star, Kardashian is reportedly opposed to having TV cameras in the courtroom.
On Friday both parties failed to settle the case during a last ditch effort settlement hearing and subsequently they will be forced to battle it out before a judge in four weeks time. A new report claims that while several media outlets have allegedly filed petitions seeking permission to televise the upcoming trial, Kardashian, who is usually enthusiastic about being filmed, is strongly against the idea.
"Kris doesn't understand why Kim wouldn't want cameras in the courtroom. This is someone that has every move of her daily life documented for reality television, what is the big deal with having it televised?" a source told RadarOnline.com.
"Kim's camp has portrayed Kris as someone that is vengeful and greedy, this is the perfect opportunity for that to be proven," the source went on.
The reality TV star was reportedly nervous during Friday's settlement hearing and she is said to be even more anxious about the upcoming trial.
In March, Russell Jay, who is a producer on E! reality TV show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," confirmed that some scenes were "scripted, reshot or edited" in order to make Humphries, 28, look like a villain. Kardashian, 31, will also be forced to address the staged scenes during her upcoming testimony and some critics fear that an admission to staging her shows could put her million-dollar brand in jeopardy.
"Kim is freaking out that she is going to be forced to testify that aspects of the Kardashian reality show are fake," a source revealed.
"Kim has always said how much she loves her fans and viewers. Kris feels that this proves unequivocally he was duped into marrying Kim," the source continued.
In 2011 Kardashian, who is expecting a child with rapper Kanye West, filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage, but Humphries refuses to sign divorce documents as he is insisting on an annulment of their marriage based on fraud. The Brooklyn Nets star claims Kardashian married him for publicity and financial gain, but the reality star maintains that she married him for love.
