Kim Kardashian Protests Erupt in Bahrain Led by Conservative Muslims (VIDEO)
Reality television star Kim Kardashian may be popular and have a hoard of fans in the United States, but in more conservative parts of the world not everyone is appreciative of her presence.
Kardashian had been on a mini-Mideast tour as she opens her own milkshake stores in the region.
The reality star was in Bahrain and made headlines after protesters gathered in front of a "Millions of Milkshakes" shop, a franchise Kardashian had been promoting in the region.

Reports indicate that at least 100 "hardline Islamic protesters" were outraged that the celebrity was in the country due to the entertainer's widely publicized sex tape.
One protester explained that "none of our customs and traditions allow us to receive stars of porn movies," according to Reuters.
Police had to keep protesters at bay as they continually shouted "God Is great" near the entrance of the shopping center near Riffa, a town where many government officials reside, as the Kardashian entourage made its way to the complex.
But riot police had removed all of the protesters before the reality starlet made her arrival.
Kardashian rose to prominence after a sexual tape of her was made public. She has since gone on to appear in several reality shows, has her own fashion line and recently promoted her new fragrance
Kardashian recently visited the tiny oil nation of Kuwait where crowds gathered to greet her and have their picture taken with her.
Kardashian did not let the protesters in Bahrain dampen her mood as she smiled for photographers walking around on of the stores. She also had nothing but great things to say about Bahrain describing the tiny nation as "the prettiest place on earth."
