Kim Kardashian to Cover Vogue in Wedding Dress After Kanye West Nuptials?
Kim Kardashian is reportedly hoping to land her first ever Vogue cover by posing in her wedding dress after her nuptials to Kanye West.
The reality TV star, 33, is said to be eager to make her mark in the fashion world by appearing on the cover of Vogue next year, however Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour, is reportedly not fond of the idea. Kardashian is reportedly in the midst of an image overhaul as recommended by West, and in an attempt to be taken more seriously in Hollywood, she wants to appear on the cover of the leading fashion publication.
"Kim would die to be on the cover... it would cement her in the fashion world but there's no way in hell she's about to ask Anna for that," a source told Hollywood Life.
"She's not even pressuring Kanye for that. He's doing that all on his own. Kim is playing it real cute and not really voicing that she wants the cover, especially in her wedding dress," the source explained. "She wants that bad but doesn't want to seem needy or desperate so she's keeping her mouth shut and letting Kanye do all the talking, as usual."
West, 36, is believed to be a close friend of Wintour's, however, Kardashian is not.
While fans of the new mom remain optimistic about a potential Vogue cover, critics are confident that Wintour, whose response to the idea has so far been "less than enthusiastic," will never approve it.
For years fashion insiders have claimed Wintour, who is a highly respected figure in the fashion industry, dislikes Kardashian, who rose to stardom in 2007 following the release of a sex tape.
In May these reports were fueled when Kardashian was infamously cropped out of a "Best Dressed" Vogue Met Gala slideshow.
While the new mom was able to score her first ever Met Gala invite through West, reports claim she had previously been banned from the exclusive event.
"Anna hates Kim! Why would she be invited to the event? It is all the biggest stars in the world and Kim doesn't fit that bill at all," a source sniped to Radar Online before the 2012 Met Gala.
"The Met Gala is $25,000 a ticket, but Kim can't even buy her way in, Anna Wintour does NOT want her there!" the source added.
