Kim Kardashian Wants '3 Kids Tops,' Talks Raising Biracial Children
Kim Kardashian recently opened up about motherhood and she revealed that while she is open to having more babies, her daughter may end up being an only child.
In a candid interview with E! producer and radio host Ryan Seacrest, Kardashian gushed about her seven-month-old daughter North West. The reality TV star, 33, revealed that she and her fiance Kanye West, 36, would love to have more kids however they are also happy with just having one.
"After being pregnant, I would definitely say I'd never do this again," Kardashian told Seacrest Tuesday on his KIIS-FM morning show.
"It was a really hard pregnancy," she continued. "But I love my daughter so much and I know what it was like to grow up with siblings, so I definitely want to have more."
Kardashian gave birth to baby North, whose nickname is Nori, in June, however, she was delivered five weeks premature due to the reality star suffering from pre-eclampsyia. She also struggled with weight criticisms throughout her pregnancy which she once said ultimately hurt her "soul."
"I'm definitely not going the route my mom did. She is crazy. When I was giving birth, I looked at her and said, 'I'm going to buy you a medal,'" Kardashian said of Kris Jenner, who has six children.
The reality TV star, who is currently planning her wedding, said she is open to having "three [kids] tops" before opening up about Nori.
"My daughter is like the cutest thing ever. I know every parent says that about their own kid," she said.
"She is the sweetest, she's the calmest and all she does is laugh," she continued. "Like she just will laugh at anything you say. I'll put my toe right near her and she'll just start cracking up. She's the sweetest, happiest baby I've ever seen."
Prior to giving birth the mother of one spoke about how she would raise her biracial baby. Kardashian is of Armenian descent and West is African-American.
"I have a lot of friends that are all different nationalities and their children are biracial, so they have kind of talked to me a little bit about it and what to expect and what not to expect but I think that the most important thing is how I would want to raise my children is to just not see color," Kardashian previously told BET.
"There will be so many experiences … that you won't really know how to prepare for until you really go through it so I think raising a child in general is challenging," she explained.
Kardashian also spoke about her plans for Nori to ravel the world in order to ensure that she is exposed to various cultures.
"Obviously you want your children to travel the world and experience different races and different cultures everywhere, so I think that would be something that is important to me to give as much information as I could," she said.
