Kim Kardashian Wedding: Star Gives Thanks to God
In what turned out to be one of the biggest celebrity events of the season, Kim Kardashian officially exchanged wedding vows with Kris Humphries on Saturday, making sure to give thanks for the event.
“God is Good,” Kim tweeted one day after her nuptials.
The reality television star celebrated her nuptials with 450 guests including singer Ciara, tennis star Serena Williams and actress Lindsay Lohan. Her sisters Kourtney and Khloe were bridesmaids at the event, in which Khloe called perfect.
“Since we were little girls, you have been dreaming about your perfect, fairytale wedding, and today we all get to watch as those dreams become your perfect reality," Khloe tweeted on her big sister’s wedding day. "Watching you, the ultimate believer in true love, fall head over heels for your prince charming has been so special for everyone who knows and loves you. You deserve everything wonderful in the world, and I have no doubt that you will get exactly that after you walk down the aisle tonight."
After the newlyweds were officially married, guests headed to the reception which featured live music from crooner Robin Thicke and was catered by Wolfgang Puck. Kim’s older sister and second bridesmaid, Kourtney, tweeted her excitement about the event.
"What a spectacular night! My sister is married,” Kourtney wrote on Saturday. “So excited for Kim and Kris. Memories to last forever."
According to Kim’s stepfather who walked her down the aisle, Bruce Jenner, the event was more than just a wedding. It represented the union of the Humphries and Kardashians.
“Tonight is really about family- joining two families,” Jenner said, according to TMZ reports.
The two families joined together one day after the wedding to attend a mass on the beach, according to Hollywood Life. The Sunday morning service was led by the pastor who presided over the newlywed’s on their special day, Joel Johnson.
The event, titled “Kim’s Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian Event” will air October 9 and 10 on E! networks.
