Kourtney Kardashian Baby Birth Video Sparks Outrage
Kourtney Kardashian delivered her second child in July and the entire birth procedure was filmed and aired on Sunday night's "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" season finale, which sparked viewer outrage.
Kardashian, 32, agreed to film the birth of baby Penelope Scotland Disick for the Kardashian family's E! reality TV show and the video has since gone viral. Stunned viewers took to social networking site Twitter, where many complained and blasted the footage as being inappropriate for television.
"Seeing as nothing is sacred to this family maybe next season we will see them going to the [bathroom]," one Twitter user with the name "lollipop26" tweeted.
"So Kourtney pulls her own baby out again when giving birth on KUWTK, gross," Brooklyn Thornton tweeted.
"Have the Kardashians gone too far?" Marie Claire magazine U.K. asked its followers.
The scene featured Scott Disick and most of the Kardashian family members, who were present and excited for the birth of baby Penelope.
"It's about to happen, we're getting close. It's so calm, so peaceful and I can't wait to meet her," Kardashian's sister Kim said.
Penelope was delivered weighing in at 7 lbs. 14 oz., and Kardashian could not contain her joy.
"It's such a magical feeling to stare at my baby girl. My baby girl is Penelope Scotland Disick and she is absolutely perfect," Kourtney Kardashian said.
This is not the first time that the reality TV star has filmed the childbirth process. Kardashian filmed the birth of her and Disick's first child, Mason Dash, who was born on Dec. 14, 2009.
Viewers were stunned to see Kardashian repeat her rather unusual delivery method, and her sister Khloe, 28, spoke out in support of Kardashian during the season finale.
"Kourtney just loves pulling out her own children, she decided to pull out 'Nelly' as well. Go for it sister...do your thing!" Khloe said.
