Kristen Bell Helps Fellow Actors' Families During Hurricane Irma
Kristen Bell is being likened to an angel after the actress helped the families of some of her famous friends find shelter during Hurricane Irma.
Hurricane Irma struck Florida this past weekend while "Frozen" star Bell was in Orlando filming her Netflix project "Like Father." When she heard that her fellow "Frozen" actor Josh Gad's family was stranded in Florida, she helped them secure shelter at the hotel where she was staying.
Gad, who also starred in "Beauty and the Beast," took to social media to publicly thank Bell for helping his family.

"No joke. @IMKristenBell just literally saved my parents, my brothers and entire family from #HurricaineIrma — you are an angel. I adore you," Gad tweeted Friday before honoring the actress on Instagram. "They don't make them like this girl. Thank you Kristin."
He went on to add, "You are truly an angel sent from above."
Gad wasn't the only famous person's family who Bell helped find shelter. She also helped the grandmother and aunt of "Dexter" actress Jennifer Carpenter.
"Gma & aunt were ready2 wear helmets N closet under eye of #HurricanIrma til @IMKristenBell found them a way out," Carpenter revealed Saturday.
Bell took things one step further by performing music from "Frozen" at an Orlando middle school being used as a shelter Saturday.
"I hope maybe some of these songs are running through your head the rest of the day and will take your mind off of it," she told those staying at the shelter, according to E! Reports.
Bell explained her positive attitude during the national disaster when preparing for the storm on Friday.
"We didn't have the option to leave so here we are. Just doing our best and trying to stay positive but cautious, and trying to help those who need help prepping," she wrote on Instagram. "Every person I passed today was assisting someone else- #neighborshelpingneighbors - it was beautiful to see. Sad that a hurricane has to bring out the best in everyone- but happy that the community will be holding hands through this."
