Kristen Stewart Avoiding Robert Pattinson at Cannes Film Festival? 'It's Too Painful'
Kristen Stewart is expected to attend the 2014 Cannes Film Festival for her new film "Sils Maria" this weekend and a new report claims the actress is arriving late to avoid Robert Pattinson.
The annual festival, which runs from May 14 to May 25, features some of the biggest movie stars in the world and while fans were hopeful that the "Twilight" stars would reunite at this year's event insiders claim that is unlikely. Pattinson, 27, attended the festival earlier this week for his film "The Rover," however, Stewart reportedly wanted to attend the festival days after her ex-boyfriend to avoid an awkward run-in.
"Kristen avoided coming to Cannes until Rob had left," a source told HollywoodLife.com.

"She does not want to party with Rob right now, he's really hurt her," the source explained. "She can't stand seeing him dating all these other girls, it's too much to take, she loves him and unless he tells her that he wants to get back together she doesn't want to see him, it's too painful right now."
On Monday Stewart, who is the face of Chanel, was reportedly absent from a dinner hosted by the French fashion house in Cannes which fueled reports claiming she is avoiding the "Maps to the Stars" actor.
The pair, who began dating in 2008, split in May last year due to trust issues stemming from Stewart's infamous cheating scandal. The source claims that while the pair have spoken since their split, they have no plans to spend time together in Cannes.
"Kristen was never scheduled to be in Cannes at the same time as Rob," the insider said.
"That is the last thing either of them want right now, they both hate fandemonium and that's what it would be," the source added.
Pattinson has been linked to various women this year, most recently model Imogen Kerr, but he has not publicly confirmed a new relationship. The British actor is said to be tired of being linked to Stewart in the media and is now ready to move on.
"Rob is beyond ready to cut the cord with Kristen. They were definitely in love, but the relationship has run it's course and he is ready to move on," another source said.
