Kristen Stewart's reported weight gain recently sparked pregnancy rumors, however, sources have attributed her new look to a film role.

Last year the "Twilight" star, 23, reportedly went on on a high-calorie diet for her role in "Clouds of Sils Maria," which included large portions of chocolat-, in a bid to bulk up. The film's director Olivier Assayas reportedly requested that she look "dowdy and puffy" for the role and in addition to gaining weight, Stewart dyed her trademark dark locks a shade of auburn.
"Kristen is absolutely not pregnant. She has put on a few extra pounds for a movie role and that's it," a source told HollywoodLife.com.
"She's already so thin so a few more pounds makes a noticeable difference, she's still thin," the insider continued. "Don't get me wrong, Kristen would love to be a mom one day and have little rugrats running around, but not for a while. Her priority right now is her work."
Stewart, who previously dated her "Breaking Dawn" costar Robert Pattinson, spoke about her new role in an interview with Women's Wear Daily magazine.
"I play a personal assistant to an actress," Stewart told WWD. "It takes two very particular people to have that relationship be functional- one that services the other- because Juliette Binoche is playing the actress that I assist, and she is one of the most powerful women I think I've ever seen in film.''
In addition to work projects, the Hollywood actress is currently in the process of planning her 24th birthday party set to take place on April 9. Pattinson, 27, is said to be invited to the affair.
"Kristen wants to celebrate her upcoming birthday with her close friends in LA, and she wants Rob to join them as well," an alleged friend of Stewart's said.
"Even though she hasn't seen Rob for the longest time, they still talk all the time," the insider revealed. "They text, Skype. They are both pretty much in the same place right now, just focusing on work and staying focused."
Pattinson, who ended his tumultuous relationship with Stewart in May last year, has been abroad for several months filming "Queen Of The Desert."
