Kristin Cavallari Acting on Hold, Marriage Will 'Work and Last'

Kristin Cavallari has opened up about her family life as well as her career in an interview this week.

The 26-year-old and her fiancé Jay Cutler welcomed son Camden Jack eight months ago. Consequently, Cavallari admitted that her son's arrival and prioritizing her family have required sacrifices on her part.

In addition to relocating from her hometown of Los Angeles to Chicago, the reality television star also noted that her acting career has been put on hold.

"I've passed on a couple of things that would have kept me here in L.A. because Jay has to be in Chicago, so if I was here, we would never see each other," Cavallari explained to Coco Eco magazine. "The sacrifices we make for love."

When she is not busy with her son, Cavallari finds time for design projects such as her show line with Chinese Laundry as well as a jewelry collection.

However, the fashion mogul reiterated that her career takes second place after family.

"It's easy to get wrapped up in your career and have that be your only focus, and I want my marriage to work and last, and family comes first," said Cavallari, according to Coco Eco. "The design work is great because I can do most of it from Chicago and I have so much fun with it. I love it and it all works out."

Meanwhile, the former MTV "The Hills" star is planning a summertime wedding with Cutler, who is the quarterback for the Chicago Bears.

"We actually have a date," said Cavallari, according to E! News. "But we're not, you know, telling anyone the details."

One thing is certain; Cavallari insisted that the wedding would not take place on she and Cutler's son's birthday, August 8.

Also, Cavallari and her fiancé have agreed on several details and "know where, we know the colors, [and] have people booked" for their upcoming nuptials.

As for the guest list, the jewelry designer said. "I'm hoping to keep it around 160 [people]."
