Lady Gaga's Little Sister Natali Makes Waves
Lady Gaga may have to share the limelight after her little sister Natali Germanotta has appeared in a high-end fashion spread.
The 19-year-old Parsons fashion student posed for digital magazine Viralfashion.com during the photo shoot, according to the Daily Mail.
While Gaga typically wears unusual fashion styles, Germanotta donned the likes of designer clothing by Alaia, J Mendel, and Proenza Schouler in the high-end fashion editorial.
The photo spread also served as publicity for the Germanotta family's investment- Joanne Trattoria- as the New York City restaurant served as the setting for the 1950s Italian cinema-inspired photos. Located on the Upper West Side, the eatery has seen negative reviews, but is still flourishing through the colder months.
"With midnight-noir hair, peaches and cream complexion, quick wit and talented, nineteen year old Natali is just about everything you expect a chic New York girl would be- and for the rest of us secretly envy, in a good way," wrote Viral Fashion's Joey Adami for the magazine.
It is likely that Germanotta agreed to the fashion shoot in order to help promote Joanne Trattoria since she works at the eatery and has described the team there as feeling "like a family unit" while speaking to Viralfashion.com.
"I do a little bit of everything and adore my family," the fashion enthusiast noted.
Germanotta has led a much quieter life than her famous sister, but that could all change after her entrance to the fashion scene.
"For Natali these shots were perhaps her most high profile modeling shots yet, the fashion student having previously appeared in Teen Vogue and Interview," reported Contact Music. "We're pretty sure that she won't be staying under the radar for much longer though, not after these amazing pictures."
Although Germanotta has a fairly low-key profile, Gaga's little sister did appear in the singer's 2010 music video for "Telephone," which also featured Beyonce.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga, also known as Stefani, has indicated her close relationship to parents Joe and Cynthia as well as her little sister.
"I'm married to my dad," the singer once joked while speaking to Elle magazine.
Also, during an interview around Father's Day, Gaga told Vanity Fair magazine: "I'm happier than I've ever been. I've been in my father's arms for two weeks, witching [him] a Happy Father's Day."
