Lindsay Lohan is rumored to be dating, Matt Nordgren, however the former NFL player recently insisted that they are just "friends."
The troubled actress, 27, who recently completed another stint in rehab, reportedly reconnected with Nordgren, 30, during New York fashion week. The pair reportedly met seven years ago through mutual friends in Los Angeles and reports claim they are dating.
"I'm not surprised about Lindsay and Matt. They have a history of hooking up during New York Fashion Week," a source told E! News.
"Last year, they had a wild night of partying and hooking up. So it's not shocking they're hanging out again this time of year," the source revealed.
Lohan is said to be in better health after facing a years-long battle with drugs and alcohol and Nordgren is said to be offering her support following her most recent rehab release. The pair is not in an exclusive relationship despite the new dating reports.
"Is he her boyfriend? No. He lives in Dallas. But they see each other when he's in NY or LA," the source said.
Nordgren, who has starred in the Bravo TV reality show, "Most Eligible Dallas," recently spoke candidly about his friendship with Lohan. He revealed that after years of hard partying and the issues surrounding her personal life, the "Mean Girls" actress is finally getting her life together.
"We've hung out. But I have been a friend trying to support her for many years now," Nordgren told the New York Post's Page Six.
"She's completely sober for months now," he revealed. "She's in a great place, she's thinking clear and working hard and meeting with all the right people."
Lohan previously opened up about her alcohol addiction in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. The former child star admitted to dabbling in cocaine but insists she now lives a more healthy lifestyle.
"As long as I stay honest with myself and just do the work that I am willing to do, and have been willing to do and am doing, there's nothing that can stand in the way of that," Lohan told Winfrey. "I'm my own worst enemy and I know that."
The award-winning actress is determined to relaunch her career after her drug problem almost threatened to destroy everything she previously worked hard for.
"I feel different. I'm in a different headspace. I don't want those things that I wanted before," she said adding she is ready to "work really hard and stay focused and prove myself in the way that I did before in the past and I lost. I have to regain the trust of people in my career that have their doubts and I fully respect that on their behalf."
