'Little Couple' Star Cancels Chemo to Spend Time With Family on Christmas

"The Little Couple" star Jen Arnold decided to postpone chemotherapy in order to spend Christmas Day with her family. Arnold tweeted that she was having a wonderful day and would soon be introducing her daughter to the world.

"Cancelled chemo = feeling better for holiday = energy for baking Christmas cookies with kids & @ReallyBillKlein – Life doesn't get much better!" Arnold tweeted.

The parents then spent the day baking and unwrapping presents with their recently adopted children, son Will and daughter Zoey. This is the first time the family has been together for a holiday since adopting Zoey. Arnold tweeted a picture of Will enjoying his new Christmas presents. Fans were thrilled to see a "Little Couple" special in which Jen and husband Bill brought Will home from China.

While most people already know that the couple has adopted daughter Zoey, the Arnolds have kept her photograph out of the press, though that will likely change soon.

"You will get to meet Zoey soon! She's adorable & Will is an amazing big brother! Giving her plenty of time to transition," Jen revealed.

The couple decided to adopt two children, both with dwarfism, from outside the United States. They chose son Will from China and daughter Zoey from India. The new parents are still adjusting to their changed lives, and seemingly enjoying every moment. Of course, that happiness was hampered by the discovery of Jen's cancer. Yet she is receiving treatment and the prognosis is good.

"While there is never a good time to get news like this, getting it just as we are building our new family is tough in many ways. But being surrounded by the love of my husband and our two beautiful children is actually in many ways giving me the strength to fight it even stronger," Jen told People magazine.

"For a lot of people, loss tears them apart," she added. "In general, we are pretty tough people. I feel very lucky and fortunate to have the wonderful life I have."
