'Love and Hip Hop' Rasheeda, Momma Dee Fired?

"Love and Hip Hop Atlanta" stars Rasheeda Buckner and Momma Dee are reportedly close to being fired by Vh1 network executives, and they may be replaced in season two, according to reports.

The reality TV stars are reportedly being criticized for their respective images, with fans blasting Buckner as "boring" and Momma Dee as too over-the-top. The criticisms have prompted Vh1 executives to reconsider inviting the pair back for another season, according to new reports.

"[Rasheeda] doesn't seem to fit in. There's not enough excitement in her life … she's too boring," a source reportedly told MediaTakeOut.com.

Throughout season one the popular reality show, producers focused on Buckner's marriage to her manager Kirk and her struggles to make it as a singer as a plot line. However, the focus eventually shifted to her feud with her co-star Kimberly "K. Michelle" Pate, which sparked criticisms that she relied on K. Michelle to maintain viewer interest.

Momma Dee, the mother of successful Atlanta rapper Lil Scrappy, is renowned for her overbearing and exaggerated personality, some claim prompted widespread criticism throughout the season.

"Mama Dee is interesting, but she's a little too much. The show took a lot of [heat] about the way they depicted black women … Mama Dee was one of the reasons that people were complaining," the source said.

Momma Dee often spends her time meddling in Lil Scrappy's personal life and despite her good intentions, it often leads him into trouble- something that portrays her as a bad mother. A number of viewers reportedly appreciated the humor behind her character which has led to talks about potentially landing her very own spinoff show.

"[Momma Dee] might be better off with her OWN SHOW," the source said.

The two co-stars have not yet addressed the axing rumors and the Vh1 network has not yet confirmed whether the reports are accurate.
