Malin Akerman's Son 'Going to be Really Social' After Going On Set of 'Trophy Wife'
Malin Akerman may play a stepmother on TV but recently became a mother in real life, welcoming son Sebastian nine months ago. Now the "Trophy Wife" star is opening up about motherhood and balancing work and time with her son.
"It is very hard because all I want to do is hold that baby," Akerman told People at the Women in Television Celebration last Wednesday. "The best part about him is that he cracks himself up with so many things. Literally, I'll put him in his bed and all of a sudden, I'll just hear him laughing. He's kind of amazing."
Akerman recently separated from husband Roberto Zincone but has not let that separation derail her career goals and enjoying time with Sebastian. She is able to bring the baby on the set of "Trophy Wife," much to the delight of her costars.

"Every single moment you have you just squeeze it in and you spend it with your baby," Akerman said. "Luckily the business that I'm in, I get to bring him to work every day. I get to see him every break that I get, every different set-up that I'm doing he comes down to set. Everyone on set is like his aunts and uncles. He's going to be a really social baby."
Bradley Whitford, Marcia Gay Harden, and Michaela Watkins are just three of those aunts and uncles helping Akerman adjust to motherhood. The three all star on "Trophy Wife" with the actress in the sleeper-hit from ABC.
When asked what surprised her most about motherhood, Akerman simply replied, "Everything and nothing."
"It's like one of those things where it's everything you expected, but it's not at all how you expected it," she explained. "There's so much love, and in such a crazy way, you just keep pinching yourself because they grow so much all the time. So many moments that you didn't know were going to happen that just excite you that are really small things."
