Manchester United vs Newcastle Live Stream: Watch Online English League Cup (2.45PM ET)
Manchester United vs Newcastle takes place Wednesday in the English Capital One League Cup, in one of the ties of the third round. The match kicks off at 2.45 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream.
Both teams will be sure to rotate a large portion of their squads for this game, but such is the depth of the talent in both squads it should still make for a fantastic game.
Sir Alex Ferguson is expected to hand fit again midfielder Darren Fletcher his first start for 10 months as he continues his fight to match fitness. If he can come through tonight well it will bode well for him to play a vital part in United's season.
United will change things up a lot from their last game and Angelo Henrique could make his debut, while Nick Powell, Alex Buttner and David de Gea may also play.
On the Newcastle side two players making their comeback from injury are set to be included; Fabricio Coloccini and Cheick Tiote.
Manchester United will be strong favorites; playing at home and they also have a more in depth squad, which should give them the advantage. Furthermore the Magpies are without a win at Old Trafford for 40 years.
Despite that horrific away record to Manchester United, Newcastle's recent form against United has been relatively good. Last season they were just one of two teams who took points away from United twice - even winning 3-0 on Tyneside in January's home fixture - although that win was their first against Sir Alex Ferguson's men since 2001.
Despite Ferguson not being afraid of shaking his side up for the League Cup, United have a formidable record in the competition, and are chasing their third League Cup win in just five years.
