Mark Wahlberg to Open 'Wahlburgers Restaurant'
Mark Wahlberg is making headlines this week for a new entrepreneurial venture he will be taking on with his brothers.
The Boston Herald has reported that Wahlberg is going to be teaming up with brothers Donnie and Paul to open a hamburger restaurant in Boston, Massachusetts.
Paul is the eldest of the three, although they come from a family of nine children, and is a trained chef.
The brothers already own an Italian restaurant called Alma Nove, named after their mother, that is located just across the street of where the new Wahlburgers will be.
The 4,300 square foot restaurant will be opening soon in the Hingham Shipyard and will seat 80 people inside and 40 on the patio.
Although the bothers carry the last name Wahlberg, they had to buy the name for Wahlburgers off of Tom Wahl from Rochester, N.Y.
Wahl has already invented a “Wahlburger” of his own.
Tom Wahl’s burger comes with ham, beef steak and Swiss cheese and was voted the best burger in New York.
No word is out on the menu of the restaurant just yet, or what type of burgers they plan to serve, however, fans across the country are getting excited to try the new place.
Kate J wrote on Twitter, “So, Hingham, Mass. just got even better.”
Max Reyner also wrote on Twitter, “Step aside Meateasy. Mark Wahlburg is opening a burger restaurant called…. The Wahlburgers.”
Lynn Clement tweeted, “Here’s your burger. Say Hi to your mother for me. Mark, Donnie Wahlburg, opening fast-food joint Wahlburgers.
The Wahlberg brothers are also planning on opening a pizza place in the future as well.
