McGraw and Hill Split? Country Stars Named Once More in Divorce Rumors

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are once more facing rumors that their nearly 20-year marriage is on the rocks this week.

The country music superstars have repeatedly shut down rumors that indicate they are headed for a divorce, but disparaging headlines persist, even today. However, reports this week point out that McGraw and Hill have put their Nashville home on the market, fueling beliefs that the longtime couple are headed toward divorce.

McGraw and Hill bought the six-bedroom, 3,330 square-foot home in 2004 and lived there with their three daughters until 2009, but have not been able to sell the property over the past five years, Enstarz reported. Now that the family has another home, McGraw and Hill have taken down the price on the listing from $2.9 million to $2 million. The home, which was built in 1950, also boasts a swimming pool.

Further adding to this week's healines, another report at an unreliable celebrity gossip magazine suggested that McGraw is feeling "smothered" by his wife of 17 years.

"Faith has done everything she can to totally take over just about every aspect of Tim's life," Star magazine reported. "She's isolated him from his closest friends, alienated his longtime fans and taken charge of all their money."

Reps for the couple denied the story.

Meanwhile, McGraw and his wife are frequently named in divorce rumors, but the pair have always maintained a united front. Last November, the pair even commented on the tabloid fodder, clarifying that they are "absolutely not" splitting up.

"[Rumors] seem to be running like crazy right now for some reason," said Hill at the time, according to People.com. "I don't know why 'happy' can't be a story."

McGraw added that he and his wife, who perform together during their Soul2Soul concert residency at The Venetian in Las Vegas, are no strangers to scuttlebutt over their marriage.

"We've been married 17 years and since the first week we were married those things were out," McGraw noted, according to the magazine. "We don't even think about it. The only time we ever think about it is [when we] worry about the kids. But they've been around it too, so they laugh it off."
