Melissa Joan Hart Weight: Drops 20 Pounds, Becomes Nutrisystem Spokeswoman
Melissa Joan Hart has dropped 20 pounds since welcoming her third child last September. The weight loss is due to Nutrisystem, which announced the actress as their spokeswoman on Tuesday.
"Having recently given birth to her third child, the longtime actress has already lost 20 pounds on Nutrisystem," the company said in a statement on its website.
Hart, a mother of three, is one of what could be many "inspiring celebrities" who will help to represent the company's meal-based program.
"We are thrilled to be helping and working with Melissa," commented Keira Krausz, Nutrisystem's Chief Marketing Officer. "She mirrors our values and will resonate with our customers as authentic. Moving forward, you'll see us have an appropriate mix of inspiring celebrities and real life customers who have also enjoyed success. We think dieters are savvier than ever and really appreciate someone who- above all else- is relatable."
Hart is an actress, writer, and director who is known for her roles in "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" more recently, "Melissa & Joey" which airs on ABC. Hart stated that her experience with Nutrisystem thus far has been a positive one.
"I love working with Nutrisystem. The Program is really delivering results for me and I look forward to long term success, staying motivated and helping others do the same," Hart said in the statement.
Hart, 36, is married to Mark Wilkerson, also 36. Wilkerson is the lead singer and guitarist for the rock band Course of Nature. Hart and Wilkerson were wed in 2003. They welcomed their first son, Mason, in 2006. Their second son, Braydon, was born in 2008; the youngest son was named Tucker.
